O l i v i e r T e r p s t r a / / Director
In my work I mostly try to find the correlation between characters. What makes some interactions enjoyable and others akward. This is what I try to find out. Next to the story, my films are mostly about the relations between characters.
As a director I begin this new project. Next to the fact that this is my biggest project so far, it will also have an entire different approach. The creation of this film has started far before the days of shooting with the film score, made by Lilian Hak. This gives me, as a director, the possibility to create a mood that complies with the mood of the music. As apossed to the classicle way of film making, where the music is composed after the movie is shot. Next to that the choreographie of Matthijs will translate the music into movement.

Lilian Hak studied vocal music at the Conservatory of Utrecht where she excelled in composition and music technology. In addition to her own personal projects, she has developed a niche for composing and producing music for advertising and film. She made music for radio commercials for Tweakers, Meldpunt Kindermishandeling, for online campaigns of the Red Cross / Princess Margriet Fonds and Vodafone and the nature film 'De Terugkeer van de Torenvalk' (The Return Of The Kestrel), which aired in 2015 NPO 1. They composed music for the short dance film UBU (Anouk van Dijk choreography) and last year was her first international film cooperation. Her music was used for the short film Haima, which won an award at the CENFLO Film Festival for Best Florida Film. At the MAC Underground Film Festival (Brazil) she won in the category for 'Best Feature Film'.
Lilian distinguishes herself because she is also an executive stage musician and producer. She released four albums including international remixes and toured with her band in the Netherlands and foreign countrie. She played in clubs and on festivals. She also did theater and TV (DWDD / Noorderslag) and she had radio appearances (3FM, Radio 1, 2 and 6).
For the crowdfunding of Quiet Nights Again she gives away a number of copies of her album 'Lust Dust & Guns' as well as a mini-concert!

Matthijs graduated from the Amsterdam School of the Arts towards Jazz and Musical Dance (Urband Contemporary Theatre) in 2016. He is currently freelancing in both dance and acting. Matthijs is very aesthetically set and believes that dance should always have a value in the whole. He is fascinated by light and using a slightly darker vibe. His style is characterized by staccato; isolated movements with a smooth character.

Jeroen Klokgieters (22 years old, born in Amsterdam) is currently a cinematography student at the Dutch Film Academy, where in addition to his studies he works as a freelance cameraman. He was excited to work on this project due to the style and shape of the story. The layering of the movie offers a lot of possibilities for the use of different cinematic styles, which together can coalesce into a separate category. He is very excited about collaborating with the composer and to find a form in which the music and cinematography are linked.

Johan Wijffelaars (Heeze, December 18, 1989) studied International Media and Entertainment Management at NHTV and worked in Live Television Production at Northern Arizona University. He was involved with multiple productions during this time. Johan has always had a love for film and photography, recording everything from family vacations to projects at home with classmates and friends. In 2012 Johan had an internship in West Hollywood where he worked on various music videos and commercial shoots. He was a set and office PA for RockHard Films where for each video he was involved with the pre and post production processes, all while also being hands-on on set. This gave him a full picture of the production industry. In 2014 he returned to LA to work on several more productions. These experiences led him to PA internships on the Dutch drama series' 'Bureau Raampoort,' and the second season of 'Bluf' in 2015.
As of August 2015 Johan has worked as a freelancer and has participated in a total of 26 productions. He has fulfilled multiple roles on and off set as an Assistant Director, Third Assistant Director, Assistant Location Manager, and Production Assistant.

Next to my education, International Media and Entertainment Managent, I have worked on a lot of different internships to learn about all the aspects in film making. This varied between extras coordinator and PA at "Michiel de Ruyter", towards lighting technician at "Tonio" and "De Zevende Hemel". Since 2015 I started focussing on specializing as Producer, first as an assistant producer at "Across" and then as Co-producer in "Fataal". Currently I'm also producing a new film "From Mars to Venus", which will send to the Dutch Film Festival in Utrecht.
