Jessica Lau (director, writer)
Creativity has always been a part of Jessica. She got her first camera when she was nine years old.
Her father died when she was 17 years old, and she grew up in a one-parent family.
To become a photographer wasn’t an option at that time. Although she didn’t spend time on photography for many years, photography kept gnawing on her. When things started to settle a bit, sadly, that was after her mother passed away too, she finally started to take photography classes and practiced it.
And many years after that she also got a chance to join a wonderful team for a 48 hour film project.
Jessica had the opportunity to work with the team of Inside31Productions first as production assistant, then as second AD and first AD. Thanks to the team she got to learn all the facets of filmmaking and gained a lot of experience on the director’s path. The latest short movie she participated in won several prizes and awards at film festivals around the world.
Thanks to these wonderful experiences she’s now preparing her own short film. She wrote the script herself and she will direct it too.

Ulrica de la Mar (producer, actress)
Actress and producer Ulrica de la Mar was raised in a family who were passionate about theatre. Learning the skills on stage and behind the scenes, Ulrica took the first steps into the small and big screen.
With her film roles in Elegant Heist and Kold, she won several Best Actress awards, like the prestige Virgin Spring Cinefest. Her style combines perfect the realism and fictional into the character. “My strength as an actress lies in my beliefs and feelings, how the audience wants to see."
During her career, she started to produce several movies. Her experience of assistant director at The Hague Comedy' theatre company, is a big advantage to understand the wishes of the director.
The bounding with crew and cast, made her un-missing link in the process. The results worldwide pronounced not only into awards, but also the networking of international artists. Ulrica is therefore respected by many people.
Her skills to motivate the team to aim a higher level, and give young talents the opportunity are not a given but a certain.

Ruud Borra (actor)
After graduating high school Ruud choose a profession as chemical laboratory engineer and a later on as manager in international business. He’s still interested in astronomy, statistics and quantum physics. In 2011 he started working as a Theatrical Technician at Theater Het Pakhuis. Till this day he is in this job on a voluntary basis.
His creative career started as one of the comedians in a comedy troupe, at that time he was 20 years old.
One day he started as background extra in commercials and television series. Over the years, he had enough experience to be an actor. Playing roles in musicals and theatre productions.
Since 2012 Ruud was acting in well over 60 productions both in professional and student films. He is often asked for roles that show emotions and expressive play. His facial expressions will be helpful for fulfilling his role in this movie.
Erika Minderop (actress)
Performing has always been a part of Erika’s life. While growing up in America, Erika was exposed to the industry at a very young age because her mother was a talent agent. She was sent on many auditions and attended many classes to improve her acting skills. As a child, she was in a number of commercials, music videos and modeling shows. While a teen, she participated in the drama club at school and performed in many plays.
During her time in college, she earned extra money by doing product demonstrations and voice-overs. Throughout the years, she has enjoyed many facets of the entertainment industry from the stage to film. She has been a full-time professional on-screen actress for the past five years. During this time she has worked on many short films, corporate films, training films, feature films, tv series and commercials. She has a true passion for the craft. She loves and is grateful for every project that she has the honor to participate in. Erika continues to grow as an actress by continuously challenging herself by taking on new roles and by taking classes and workshops.
Sam Kwakkel (actor)
At this moment Sam is studying social work, after graduation his study he would like to go to the school for theatre. Theatre and acting is his biggest passion.
Despite his young age Sam acted in many different films and theatre plays. Acting in the play Animals was his favorite, a story inspirited by Animal Farm written by George Orwell. He acted in graduation films of the University of the Arts Utrecht and University of the Arts. Besides that he played in a short movie made for Kunstbende (a institute for young talents), which reached the finals into several national film festivals. His playfulness and youthful appearance is perfect for fulfilling this role.
Lola Minderop (actress)
Lola has always had an interest in the performing arts. She took acting classes for several years during her youth. Lola also performed in numerous theatrical productions.
In addition to acting, she always had a love for singing. She participated in a youth choir. Once she discovered that she could combine the two artforms, she started taking theatrical musical classes.
As she grew older, she discovered yet another dimension of the performing arts: modelling. She loves to act, model and sing. She has experience in theatre, commercials and photoshoots.
Lola is in her final year of secondary school. She main focus this past year has been on graduating. Moving forward, Lola plans on directing her energy towards her performing career.
The filming location will be in the lovely garden of this stately home.
It’s the oldest house on the street, originally a modest mansion, inhabited by farmer Jillis Herweijer. After his death in 1914 it was bought by farmacist Jan Krim, who had the house widened and extended with a large conservatory at the front. It was named Villa Mariahof after Jan's wife Maria Waterbeek.
After years of vacancy and neglect, the property was purchased in 2006 by the current residents, who have restored it.
