CAST AND CREW
Anouk might seem a bit shy at first, but as soon as you get to know her better you'll know that she's also brave, friendly and very persistant. She's 23 years old and lives in Meppel. She loves making music and being creative. Anouk didn't have an easy childhood, and has struggled with her mental health from a very young age. Nevertheless, she's kept going. Anouk and Tim met in a mental health clinic in 2016 where they were both being treated, and they have grown to be very close friends since. In September they started this challenge together: to walk more than a 1000 kilometres through the Netherlands to create more openness about mental problems.
Tim is 37 years old and lives in Goor. Of the two of them Tim is definitely the talkative one. While Anouk prefers to stay in the background, Tim easily connects with anyone he meets, and is described by his family as the life of the party. He likes to read and has a great interest in model building. Like Anouk, Tim has a long history of mental health issues, but he will not let this define him. When Tim came up with the idea to embark on this journey, he immediately knew it was Anouk he wanted to go on this adventure with.
Neeltje is 23 years old and a final-year Journalism student. As a journalist, she already has a lot of experience in doing human-interest stories, with psychiatry as a recurring theme. She, too, dealt with mental health issues from a young age. ''I really hope that I can make the film now that I should have seen back then'', she says about Wandering between two worlds. With this film she wants to show people the reality of living with mental health issues, but also give hope to those who are struggling with mental health themselves.
Juliette is 22 years old and a final-year student in Journalism. She finds it important to make stories that contribute to society. In her childhood, someone close to her had to deal with mental problems. She noticed that it was a difficult subject to talk about in her family. That's her personal drive to make this film.
