About the project
LOCKLINEA watchmaker seeks solace in his work. Then one evening he gets to repair a very special watch...

The Dutch/Belgian film company CinéTé wants to try to win a third OSCAR© in 2016! We first won in 1987 for the animated short film A GREEK TRAGEDY by Nicole van Goethem and then again in 2001 for another “best animated short”: FATHER AND DAUGHTER by Michael Dudok de Wit.
But for this third one we need your help!

We have an excellent project in production. It is called TICKING AWAY and tells the story of a dedicated watchmaker. He’s a peculiar man seeking solace in his work. Then one evening he gets to repair a very special watch...

TICKING AWAY is not autobiographical but it’s very close to the heart of it’s creator, Michael Sewnarain. Repairing antique clocks was a passion of his father and Michael has many fond memories of the numerous clocks that were standing, hanging and lying around in their apartment, waiting to be repaired.

Michael wrote and directed the film. Willem Thijssen produces for CinéTé. Other crew members are: Brun Croes, who painted the backgrounds, the guys at Fabrique Fantastique in Geel are composing and coloring the film and the music was composed by Reinhard Vanbergen, from the Belgian pop formation 'Das Pop'. The film is almost finished and now you can help us complete the last steps!

So: have a look at our rewards and support us! We want to share our project with people that are as excited as we are!  And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, through our blog or our newsletter, so we can keep you posted about the progress and give you an insight in the production process of this exceptional animated short film.
