CREW
Writer of the screenplay and the film's Director, Laurens Zautsen, will with this film graduate at the University of the Arts Utrecht in the direction of Audiovisual Media. The crew consists of a combination of classmates, who like him will graduate with this movie, graduates or students from a different year or study.
Our graduation film is what we have worked all these years for. Everything we have learned in the lessons, productions and internships have to pay off here. This will be our calling card to the outside world, and the starting point of our career.
Laurens, 23; writer and director

In my themes I put the focus on quirky characters that especially are looking for one thing: their identity.
Meggy, 26; creative producer

The kind of stories that attract me always touch, in a large or small way, reality. By merging content with production, I hope to bring out the best out of “Feliks” on both a creative and production level.
Ward, 25; director of photography

I want to create the best picture the best way possible. “Phoenix” is a film in which the ambiance and style work as an extra layer within the story. In practice this means I work closely with the director and production design.
Milou, 22; assistant director

I like to contribute to stories that I believe in. "Feniks" is such a film and I will support the director with great pleasure in realizing his vision.
Stephen, 23; editor

My highest priority as editor is the narrative. I'm looking forward to find the opportunities within this tragi-comedy story!
Judy, 21; colorist

As a colorist i want to enhance the narrative by creating the right atmosphere.
Color is a powerfull tool that can be used to manipulate the viewer’s emotions.
By choosing the right colors in the right shot for shot I want to create an atmosphere that pulls the viewer further into the story.
Zino, 22; art director

I'm in the third year of the study Audiovisual Media and I specialize in art direction. I focus on the world where the film takes place and will decorate it the way Felix and Debbie would do.
Jillian, 24; production design

Graduated from HKU Fashion & Design I focus as a multidisciplinary maker in identity and lifestyle. Through my designs I will represent the identities of the characters the best way possible.
Ayu, 24; floor manager

Last year I graduated from HKU in Art & Economics. During my studies I worked as a floor manager on several graduation films. Now W work as a freelancer in the film industry. With “Feniks” I will guard the set and make sure everything runs smoothly.
